10 Reasons to join the Hamilton Rotary Club!

1. Friendship:

The Rotary Club of Hamilton provides one of the most basic human needs: the need for friendship. It is one of two reasons why Rotary International began in Chicago 1905 and in Hamilton, Ohio in 1919. By joining our Club, you have just made over 100 new friends.

2. Business Development and Networking:

The second original reason for Rotary’s beginning is business development. We all need to network. By design, Rotary consists of a cross section of every business community in Hamilton and beyond. Its members come from all walks of life and are considered the leaders and influencers of our city. Rotarians help each other and collectively help others.

3. Leadership Development:

The Rotary Club of Hamilton is an organization of leaders and successful people. Serving in Rotary positions and charing Rotary committees is an education. Our members quickly learn how to motivate, influence, and lead leaders.

4. Citizenship in the Community:

Membership in Our Rotary club will make you a better community citizen. Our Club consists of the most active citizens of Hamilton and we plan and execute community service projects that make a difference.

5. Continuing Education:

Each week at the Rotary meeting, there is a program designed to keep all of us informed about what is going on in our community, nation, and world. Each Thursday meeting provides an opportunity to listen to different speakers and a variety of timely topics.

6. Fun:

We have a great time at our meetings. Each meeting is fun and full of laughs. In addition, our club projects are fun. Social activities are fun. The service to our community is fun.

7. Public Speaking Skills:

Many individuals who joined Rotary were afraid to speak in public. Rotary develops confidence and skill in public communication and the opportunity to practice and perfect these skills.

8. The Development of Ethics:

Rotarians practice a 4-Way Test that governs one’s ethical standards. Rotarians are expected to be ethical in business and personal relationships.

9. Prestige:

Rotary members are prominent people: leaders of business, law, banking, healthcare professionals, art, government and public service, military, religion, the nonprofit sector and all disciplines. The Rotary Club of Hamilton is considered to be the best service organization in Butler County, while Rotary International is the oldest and most prestigious service club in the world. It is a great honor to be asked to be a member of the Hamilton Rotary Club.

10. The Opportunity to Serve:

The Hamilton Rotary Club is a service club. Its business is improving our community. Its product is service. Rotarians provide community service to both local and international communities. This is perhaps the best reason for becoming a Rotarian: the chance to do something for somebody else.
