This past weekend, the Rotary Club of Hamilton was thrilled to take part in the 13th annual Operation Pumpkin, joining 150 vendors and a countless number of visitors who filled the streets of Downtown Hamilton. The festival, a beloved community tradition, was a celebration of autumn with vendors showcasing local goods, food, and crafts. The streets were alive with pumpkin-themed activities, live entertainment, and the buzz of visitors exploring everything the Hamilton has to offer. Among the many booths, the Rotary Club’s presence stood out, offering unique experiences for families and visitors while reinforcing its mission of community service.
In partnership with The Boys and Girls Club of Hamilton, children and families took part in various creative projects. The collaboration between the Rotary Club and the Boys and Girls Club provided an opportunity for kids to express themselves artistically while fostering a sense of community and friendship. This partnership highlighted the shared commitment of enriching the lives of young people and bringing joy to the community.
One of the most meaningful contributions from the Rotary Club was the donation of supplies for over 500 glow-in-the-dark friendship bracelets. As children proudly wore their handmade creations, it was clear that this small craft had a big impact. By the end of the weekend, the Rotary Club had not only contributed to the fun and excitement of Operation Pumpkin but also strengthened the community connections that make Hamilton such a special place.
